These leaves are what you need for proper moimoi, agidi, and even for cooking rice or serving with pounded yam and other swallows. They give your food that subtle, “leafy” taste you can’t get from foil or nylon.
Each bunch has about 40 leaves, so you have enough to make a decent pot of food.
Just wash, wrap, steam and enjoy that proper home-style flavor in your own kitchen.
How we keep them fresh: The leaves are stored frozen to help retain their freshness and colour.
Storage tip: When you get them, keep them covered in cling film or a nylon bag before putting them in the freezer. Don’t leave the leaves directly exposed in the freezer, so they don’t dry out. Just take out what you need, cover the rest back and return to the freezer.
